Jive Software
1. SRM designed a 24,000 square foot tenant improvement for Jive Software, one of Oregon's fastest growing businesses.
2. We created a special place in Jive's reception area for their many awards. The overall design of the office projects a playful yet substantial and established image for the company.
3. We added "personal expression niches" in common areas where staff can leave favorite objects. Their contents change almost daily.
4. This photo of the conference room demonstrates the overall palette, which mirrors Jive's corporate identity: cool grays with shots of color.
5-6. Because a penthouse was added to the building, a skylight was cut off. We transformed the leftover void into a dramatic space for a light fixture. We also added the stair, cutting through the floor below to create internal circulation.
7. This partial wall screens the bathrooms from the staff meeting bull pen. It also provides a convenient spot for a chin-up bar. (Jive's employees stage impromptu chin-up competitions).
8. Jive's staff entrance.
9. We added glass to interior conference rooms to allow the passage of daylight from perimeter windows. Because these small rooms are often used for telephone conference calls, the top half of the walls are covered in acoustical panels.
10. Another view of a personal expression niche.
