January 2009 - Two SRM Employees Achieve LEED Accreditation
SRM Architecture and Marketing proudly announces the LEED accreditation of two employees in their respective fields. LEED (Leadership in Energy Efficiency Design) is a third party green building certification program and a nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
Many of you already know Laura Clarry, who has become our first LEED accredited interior design professional. What you may not know about her is that before she pursued a career in interior design, she earned a Masters of Chemistry from University of Utah. So if you don’t know a Volatile Organic Compound from organic cotton, Laura can help.
Our partner Tripp Royce has earned his LEED accreditation in the field of architecture. While many of you know Tripp, you may not know that his green roots run deep. During the Carter administration, he designed and built passive solar houses and installed solar hot water systems for his clients. He is excited by the resurgence of interest and incentives for green building, and is looking forward to bringing his experience and credentials in the field to new projects.
